CCTV came to us to help re-brand their 24-hour Financial channel with a new on-air total package to compete with global business channels such as Bloomberg and CNBC. We took the channel’s slogan “Value is Everywhere” as our inspiration; designing a new visual property to express this. “The Grid” is a flexible and dynamic graphic device of square panels derived from the channel logo. It flips and spins to display diverse live-action images from the worlds of business and finance in a series of themed channel IDs. We also worked closely with CCTV2’s online and offline teams to create a stream-lined News Info Graphics system and Brand style guide.
